TODAY’S STATUS
The temporary retaining wall was completed. They fill-in the spaces between the dead soldiers with 2″ x 14″(?) boards trimmed to fit in the I-beam channels. They start at the top, secure the trimmed boards with bent nails, and then dig down to place the lower boards. In all, the retaining wall was 13+’ high.
Shoring is required for any trench which is over 5ft in depth.
